Client bulletin: Servicing Major & Complex Losses (MCL) in Asia during the Covid19 pandemic

As a result of the Covid19 pandemic many countries have imposed quarantines and/or entry bans for visitors. International business travel appears to be coming to an end for the immediate future. Working from home or split team working has been adopted by most of the insurance industry.

Against this backdrop, large-scale losses continue to occur requiring the services of skilled specialist major and complex loss adjusters. Many of these specialists who service Asia are now restricted to their regional bases.

Ensuring protection

As a leading global claims management company, Sedgwick is fully committed to serving our clients throughout Asia. We have a network of 60 dedicated and experienced MCL adjusters based in our office network throughout Asia, working in conjunction with our senior Regional MCL adjusters in Singapore, who have extensive experience of remotely managing large-scale losses. We are already maximising our global network to service ongoing claims.

In addition, our regional MCL team is highly experienced in the management of local adjusters appointed by cedant insurers, thereby ensuring that reinsurers’ interests are protected throughout the claim.
