Welcome to the latest edition of Subsidence Watch 2020, our regular publication aimed at fully briefing clients and providing an update on developments as they happen throughout the season.
At the start of August we were looking forward to a healthy seasonal upturn in subsidence claim instructions, and whilst that may still be the case, recent weeks have been dominated by wet weather, localised flooding and Storms Ellen and Francis. The heavy rainfall experienced over many parts of the country will have helped re-hydrate clay areas and lessen the risk of clay shrinkage issues.
As always, we look forward to sharing some insights from our team of experts to help your business be prepared.
