A 5.6 magnitude earthquake shook Indonesia’s West Java province on Monday, home to more than 2.5 million people. The tremor could be felt as far as the capital Jakarta about 100 kilometers away.

Officials are still determining the full extent of the damage caused by the quake. Reports thus far claim that more than 2,200 homes were destroyed, at least 50 schools were impacted, and a mosque and hospital were damaged. More than 58,000 people have also been displaced.

Indonesia’s bureau of meteorology, the BMKG, warned of a danger of landslides, particularly in the event of heavy rain, as 25 aftershocks were recorded in the first two hours after the quake.
