SYDNEY, 23 May 2024 – Sedgwick, a leading global provider of claims management, loss adjusting and technology-enabled business solutions, announced that Sophie Henderson has joined its forensic accounting services team in Australia as a Partner.
Henderson has over 14 years of experience in forensic accounting and expertise in complex economic loss claims across a wide range of industries for both insurance and litigation. Her work includes managing major and complex business interruption claims for the manufacturing, mining and refining, construction, energy, freight, hospitality, retail, warehousing and recycling sectors. She also has expertise in managing claims for employee dishonesty and fraud, personal injury and fatal accidents, political risk, and product liability and recalls.
“Sophie’s considerable experience in evaluating large and complex losses and business interruption claims will serve to support the needs of our clients,” said Kimberley Daley, Sedgwick’s Executive General Manager of Professional Services in Australia. “Her background in handling economic losses for multimillion-dollar first party insurance claims, including stock and contingent business interruption, subrogated recoveries, re-insurance and commercial litigation, will benefit the work we do in Australia as we continue to grow our offerings and support demand for forensic accounting services in the market.”

Henderson has global experience, having managed assignments and evaluated large and complex losses in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe and South America. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oxford. She is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
