Expansion offers comprehensive average adjusting services and marine experts Fahrizal and Kanya Manohara join the growing team
JAKARTA, 23 May 2024 — Sedgwick, a leading global provider of claims management, loss adjusting and technology-enabled business solutions, announced the expansion of its marine claims solutions in Indonesia with the addition of two leading average adjusters, Fahrizal and Kanya Manohara. They will enhance Sedgwick’s marine capabilities in the region by enabling the Sedgwick team to provide both in-house surveying and adjusting services for marine hull and machinery in the region. They will report to Evri, Marine Manager, within the growing team overseen by Andri Dirgantara, President Director for Sedgwick in Indonesia.
Fahrizal has over 15 years’ experience as an average adjuster. His expertise includes particular average, general average, collision liability, sue and labor coverage, salvage, total loss and ship’s repairer liability. He is a qualified associate of the Association of Average Adjusters (AAA) and Indonesian Certified Adjusting Practitioners (ICAP).
Manohara brings a unique background to the marine industry as a law graduate of Atmajaya University. She has 15 years of experience as a specialist in claims assessment and reviewing liability for both small and complex casualties, along with collision liability, sue and labor coverage, salvage, and ship’s repairer liability. She holds qualifications as an associate of the Association of Average Adjusters (AAA) and Indonesian Certified Adjusting Practitioners (ICAP).
“The combined expertise and knowledge Fahrizal and Kanya bring to Sedgwick elevates the work we do in the marine sector and will provide our clients with a single source for effectively adjusting and surveying a marine loss,” said Andri Dirgantara, Sedgwick President Director for Indonesia.
“Marine hull and machinery are unique, as the area not only involves UK law and practice but often requires understanding of laws and practices from other countries to make proper adjustments,” Fahrizal said. “Our new marine hull and machinery division in Indonesia complements Sedgwick’s current marine offering. Drawing on my prior experience handling complicated cases in Indonesia and Singapore, I am ready to take on new challenges with my work at Sedgwick.”
“My passion for the industry is a great fit with Sedgwick’s stellar and fast-growing marine team,” added Manohara. “I am thrilled to become a part of the Sedgwick family and to take on this role of expanding the company’s marine adjusting services in the region.”
Veronica Grigg, Sedgwick CEO of Asia, noted that the announcement of enhanced marine capabilities in Indonesia follows the launch of the company’s global aviation adjusting services earlier this month. “Together, these represent an important part of Sedgwick’s ambitious growth strategy for offering best-in-class solutions across Asia,” Grigg said.
Globally, Sedgwick’s marine and transportation team has a network of more than 200 dedicated experts across 80 countries, offering expertise in the local and international laws, practices and customs regarding these specialized claims.
