Mr. Wofford has 27 years of experience in the fire service, law enforcement and private sector investigations. At the age of 18, Mr. Wofford joined the Upper Richland Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and rose to the rank of Captain. After graduating from the University of South Carolina, Mr. Wofford joined the Lexington Police Department. After 3 years of patrol experience, he joined the Richland County Emergency Services Department as a fire investigator. A promotion to Investigator II allowed Mr. Wofford to supervise employees. After the terrorist events of September 11, 2001, Mr. Wofford was assigned to the Richland County COBRA team as an investigator and Chief Science Officer and Hazardous Materials Specialist. This allowed Mr. Wofford to work with many state and federal task forces regarding terrorism, environmental crimes and mass casualty events. He coordinates large loss investigations of fire and explosions, and provides expert witness testimony.
