Mr. Dixon is an IAAI-Certified Fire Investigator with more than 22 years’ experience in the determination of the origin and cause of fires and post-blast investigations. His background is in law enforcement and he is a retired member of the Pennsylvania State Police. During his tenure with the Pennsylvania State Police, Mr. Dixon served as supervisor for the Fire Marshal Division and was elected to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Chapter of The International Association of Arson Investigators. While seated on the Board, Dixon served as Chairperson of the Arson Awareness Committee. Mr. Dixon’s experience includes the forensic investigation of hundreds of fire scenes, including residential and commercial sites, agricultural sites, wildlands and vehicles of all types. Additionally, he has conducted post-blast investigations at more than 20 explosion scenes. Mr. Dixon is well versed in origin and cause determination, failure analysis, evidence handling and spoliation, interviewing, scene examination and documentation, scene photography, report writing, Arson, Insurance Fraud, financial investigations and court testimony. He has been admitted to testify as an Expert Witness on numerous occasions at both the state and federal court levels. As a result of his law enforcement experience, Mr. Dixon is an expert in the field of Fire Death Investigation, having investigated numerous fire and explosion fatalities, multiple fatalities and Arson/Homicide.
