Ms. Silva has over 22 years of experience in the due diligence and environmental industry, including 14 years as an environmental regulator. She has managed over 7,000 environmental site assessments for industrial, commercial/retail, and multi-family residential properties throughout the United States. She supervised five employees who were reviewing Phase II environmental site assessment reports to ensure that local and state regulations were in compliance. Current responsibilities include the management of real estate due diligence accounts including small regional and larger national association banks, life insurance companies, and conduit/commercial mortgage-backed securities lenders. Projects involve environmental due diligence projects and include third-party technical reviews of Phase I and II environmental assessment and geotechnical reports.
Ms. Silva’s technical experience includes Phase I environmental site assessments, Phase II geologic/hydrogeological evaluations, and Underground Storage Tank Closure reports. Project work has included geophysical surveys, soil boring installation, monitoring well installation, and the sampling of soil and groundwater in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Ms. Silva has written and managed grants from the EPA Brownfields program and has been involved with creating local and state regulations regarding Brownfields in Florida.
Ms. Silva meets the definition of an Environmental Professional as defined in 312.10 of 40 CFR 312.
