Ms. Groulx is a recent graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland Security with a minor in Fire, Arson, and Explosion Investigation. Throughout her time at EKU, she investigated and processed five (5) compartment fires and three (3) explosion scenes. Her courses for the fire investigation curriculum covered diverse and relevant topics including fire behavior and combustion, weapons of mass destruction/hazardous materials, systems and failure analysis, scene analysis, critical problem analysis, case preparation, and advanced bombing investigation. While employed as a Fire and Evidence Technician for Unified Investigations and Sciences, Ms. Groulx assisted in the origin and cause investigation of ten (10) residential and vehicle fires. She has also documented and preserved numerous evidence artifacts from various scenes.
