Conduct fire, arson, and explosion investigations including residential, commercial, marine and vehicular losses for clients. Collect and preserve evidence ensuring a precise chain of custody. Conduct interviews with victims, property owners, witnesses, investigators, and pertinent third party organizations. Prepare written detailed investigative reports as to the conclusions and opinions of the subject loss. Testify in related depositions, arbitrations and trials.
Mr. Adcox owned and operated a Home and Building Inspection Company conducting business in Southeast Louisiana and South Mississippi. In this capacity he worked to provide inspection services to realtors and other clients in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the Louisiana and Mississippi State Board of Home Inspectors and to report these findings in a written report.
Mr. Adcox retired from the Bogalusa La. Fire Department with over 26 years of service. From 1982 to 1994 he worked in the ranks of Firefighter, Firefighter First Class, and Driver/Operator. In these positions his primary responsibilities were fire suppression, emergency medical services, and hazardous materials scene management. From 1994 to 2006 working in the ranks of Fire Captain and District Fire Chief he assumed the additional responsibility of Fire Prevention, Inspection and Investigation.
In the position of Fire Chief Mr. Adcox primary responsibility was the investigation of fires occurring within his jurisdiction. His fire cause and origin experience included fires in residential structures, commercial buildings, industrial paper and pulp related fires, as well as vehicle fires, and chemical release related fires and explosions. Mr. Adcox was also responsible for fire prevention, inspection, fire code enforcement, public fire education, personnel issues, public relations, and departmental training.
Mr. Adcox owned and operated a retail business specializing in sales, installation and service of residential HVAC units and major appliances. Mr. Adcox adapted to the technological changes of the product and service industry as well as to changes in the business climate. This included maintaining a timely and quality record for servicing customers’ products while attaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Duties included sales, marketing, advertisements and employee management. As Lead Service Technician Mr. Adcox was responsible for installations, warranty and out of warranty service contracts.
