At Sedgwick, we have a longtime commitment to supporting communities around the world through our corporate giving efforts. Every year at RIMS, we have the opportunity to build on our efforts by partnering with charities that align with our caring counts philosophy and giving pillars: education, well-being, social services and sustainability. This year, we’re proud to support local charities Paws for Life USA and Pet Partners of Cobb County as well as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and The Spencer Educational Foundation, in alignment with our well-being and education pillars. Through these and other partnerships, we’re committed to doing the right thing and helping others – not just during RIMS but year-round.
Paws for Life USA and Pet Partners of Cobb County
Paws For Life USA is an IRS 501c3 nonprofit organization specializing in custom service dog training and is located north of Atlanta. They train service, therapy and facility animals nationwide for those facing most disabilities except total blindness — including veterans, first responders, children and adults. Together with Pet Partners of Cobb County, a community partner of the Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program, they share a mission of improving human health and well-being through the human-animal bond. Several animals joined us in the Wellness ZENter this year and we were pleased to present a check for $10,000 to support their incredible mission.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Sedgwick is honored to provide Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library with a charitable donation on behalf of our 30,000 global colleagues. We encourage you to support the organization as well as they continue to gift free, high-quality books to young children around the world. With a good book and a little imagination, the possibilities are endless. At Sedgwick, we’re eager to turn possibilities into reality. And we’ll continue to work toward a world where caring — and imagination — count.

Spencer Educational Foundation
This year, we’re pleased to participate in the seventh annual Spencer and Sedgwick 5K Fun Run on Tuesday, May 2 to raise funds for the Spencer Educational Foundation. The foundation awards scholarships to deserving students pursuing a career in the risk and insurance industry. To date, Spencer has awarded $8.8 million in scholarships and another $8 million in grants.
Supporting organizations like Paws for Life USA, Pet Partners of Cobb County, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and The Spencer Educational Foundation is part of what makes the annual RIMS conference so special. We’re given a unique opportunity each year in the conference’s host city to expand our horizons, learn about new challenges and find ways we can work together to be part of the solution.
