Loss Adjuster

To investigate and adjust property and casualty claims, both residential and commercial, with little to no supervision. Role includes conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design.

  • Manages assigned claims while meeting company standards and quality, including conducting thorough investigations; determining coverage and validity of claims, interviewing and communicating with insured, claimants and witnesses; inspecting claims sites, preparing reports and negotiating settlements
  • Arranges for the client to take action to protect undamaged or partially damaged property and other action in order to mitigate or contain the loss.
  • Arranges for the Insured to take action to protect property which may be subsequently disposed of as salvage. Promptly notifies salvage to Insurers and arranges salvage tenders in accordance with Insurer’s requirements and the Company’s procedures.
  • Provides guidelines to the Insured as to the processing and preparation of claim documentation.
  • Prepares Immediate Advice, Preliminary, Interim, Final and Addendum reports accurately and efficiently within the time frames required by the Company.
  • Responds promptly and correctly to all written and verbal communications from the Insured’s and Insurer’s representatives within the timeframe set by the Company.
  • Documents progress of the claim in the claim files and any claim handling system which must be kept current within the timeframe set by the Company.
  • Prepares adjustment of claim submissions in a professional and ethical manner within the timeframe required by the Company.
  • Completes timesheets on files, expense recovery reports and other administrative duties as required by the Company within the set timeframe.
  • Maintains client relationships to assure repeated business referrals.

Requirements:

  • Freshly qualified graduates with Civil/Mechanical engineering qualification or .
  • Civil/Mechanical Engineers with 1-3 years work experience
  • Civil/Mechanical Engineers with experience or insurance claims or existing Loss Adjusters
  • Engineers who are capable to communicate in Chinese.

All positions require extensive travel within Indonesia and fluency in written/spoken English is essential.

Successful candidates will need to be self-motivated, be able to work without supervision and have the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the organization.

Training will be provided in respect of the insurance and report writing aspects of the role. Continuous Professional Development, including industry specific examinations, will be encouraged by the employer.
