Thousands of residents in western Canada received evacuation orders and warnings earlier this week as wildfires continue to threaten their communities. According to the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC), Canada has experienced over 1,000 wildfires to date this year that have burned more than 830,000 acres, and over 130 of those fires are currently active.
