Michel brings over 40 years of experience in insurance appraisal, with a distinguished career spanning fine art and theft-related claims. He has served as Sedgwick’s National Director for Fine Art & Theft since 2010 and is a founding member and jury member of the Theft Technical Committee for certification.
Michel is a EEA Certified Thef Adjuster, underscoring his expertise in theft-related appraisals. His specialties include French art and 18th-century furniture, as well as early 20th-century European painting. A graduate of Sciences Po Grenoble, Michel has led major national and international claims involving works by Matisse, Chagall, Rodin, and Caravaggio. He manages complex losses in project mode, mobilizing specialized teams to deliver successful outcomes. Michel is also part of Sedgwick’s Major and Complex Loss team.
