Sedgwick’s experts lead the conversation on issues and trends that impact our industry throughout the year, but RIMS gives us a chance to explore the possibilities a little more deeply. For those attending, we encourage you to take time for the following sessions.
- On May 2, join Danny Miller, EVP, operations, property, Sedgwick and Jennifer Reno, global risk manager, QVC, in discussing Fire’s fury: repair, restoration and recovery strategies. With proper planning and strong partnerships, your organization can be prepared to weather a devastating fire or any other catastrophic event. Get ideas and perspective on the best ways to get back to business in the wake of significant property damage.
- On May 3, Max Koonce, chief claims officer, Sedgwick and Kelly Oyler, senior director, insurable risk, Walgreens Boots Alliance, will lead the session Bounce back with authority: building program resiliency and adaptability. Resiliency and adaptability are the cornerstones of a successful risk management program. Consider how these maneuvers can be accomplished in a world changing at the speed of light to address wide-ranging disruptions to the workforce, operations, supply chain and revenue.
- Also on May 3, Chris Harvey, SVP, client services, Sedgwick and Rick Graham, chief risk officer, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transit Authority, will prepare attendees with Product recall: not a question of if… but when. When their products’ safety comes into question, time is everything for the thousands of companies that endure product recalls each year. Consider whether your organization is sufficiently prepared for such incidents with plans in place to react to the inevitable.
Find your ZENter
To continue our annual tradition of promoting health and wellness — of attendees, their people, their programs and the community — we’re again partnering with RIMS to host the Wellness ZENter. Beyond its interactive, conversational sessions designed to give you practical guidance, this venue gives all conference attendees a unique opportunity to engage with and donate to local charities during RISKWORLD. This year, we’re supporting Paws for Life USA — an organization known for training service, therapy and facility animals nationwide for those facing disabilities, including veterans, first responders, children and adults, and Pet Partners of Cobb County — a community therapy animal program with a mission of improving human health and well-being through the human-animal bond.
In person, join us Monday through Wednesday; test the therapeutic benefits of animal-assisted therapy and add a little play to your day by visiting with trained service and therapy animals. The Wellness ZENter is active during exclusive marketplace hours and can be found at RIMS HQ booth 1551. Give back
As we imagine a world where caring counts, Sedgwick is also honored to provide Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library with a charitable donation on behalf of our 33,000 global colleagues. We encourage you, too, to support the organization as they continue to gift free, high-quality books to young children around the world. With a good book and a little imagination, the possibilities are endless.
If you’re really feeling energetic, participants in Atlanta and around the world can join us in raising funds for Spencer Educational Foundation scholarships during the seventh annual Spencer and Sedgwick 5K Fun Run on Tuesday, May 2.
