Storm Floris forecast to hit UK early next week

Storm Floris is forecast to impact parts of the UK early next week, bringing unseasonably strong winds and heavy rainfall, particularly across Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and North Wales.

Inland areas may experience gusts of 40–50mph, with 60–85mph expected along exposed coasts and high ground, and heavy rain could potentially lead to localised flooding and challenging travel conditions. The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for wind, with potential impacts on transport, power supply, and outdoor activities.
