Matthew Cao

Matthew has nearly 20 years of experience in average adjusting across the Greater China and Southeast Asia markets. He began his career in Hong Kong and qualified as a Fellow of the UK Association of Average Adjusters in 2015. From 2021 to 2023, he worked with a leading marine hull insurer and a P&I club, further deepening his technical expertise. Matthew specializes in particular and general average, loss of hire, and collision liabilities, with broader experience in marine hull insurance and P&I. He holds a BSc in International Shipping and Logistics, is FAAA and ACII qualified, and speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
