Executive Adjuster
Francis is an executive adjuster with extensive experience handling major infrastructure and construction losses worldwide, as well as property damage and business interruption claims for mining, petrochemical, power generation, and other industries. He entered the loss adjusting profession in 1984 with a leading international firm and joined Cunningham Lindsey (now Sedgwick) in 1990, working on major projects across the UK and internationally throughout his career.
Francis is a recognized specialist in delay claims, including delay in start-up insurance, and has lectured internationally on the subject. He has also authored and contributed to key industry publications, including the CII Advanced Study Group textbook on delay insurance (and its supplement on construction insurance), the 9th edition of Riley on Business Interruption, and Delay and Disruption in Construction Contracts. Francis is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Geotechnical Specialist, with academic training in soil mechanics and rock mechanics.
