Harrison Cassidy

Harrison is a marine electrical and electronic engineer with experience across the cruise, resupply, and offshore vessel sectors. He holds a STCW III/6 Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency and has both seagoing and shoreside experience supporting vessel electrical systems, automation, power management, maintenance, dry docking, and new-build projects.

Harrison brings specialist technical expertise in high-voltage marine electrical systems, vessel power generation and distribution, and automation systems. His experience includes supporting large passenger vessel fleets, managing electrical maintenance, and acting as the electrical subject matter expert on energy-efficiency projects, service power analysis, harmonic distortion review. He has also worked on offshore vessel new-build projects involving battery storage for hybrid and electric propulsion.

More recently, Harrison has worked as a marine electrical consultant, providing services as an expert to vessel owners, insurers, law firms, and marine consultancies. His work has included expert witness services, complex incident investigation, design review, power plant analysis, vessel repair matters, and detailed technical data analysis.

He has received instruction to provide expert opinion and testimony in a major case involving the allision of a container vessel with a bridge, including analysis of the vessels’ automation, voyage data, power management, and maintenance records.
