Kim Chua

Kim has 18 years of experience across industries including foundry, hot rolling, automotive, aerospace, power, oil and gas, geothermal, defense, and marine. Since 2018, she has worked in the maritime sector, conducting inspections on chemical and oil tankers, LNG carriers, bulk carriers, and container ships, as well as bunker fuel tanks and ISO tank containers. She provides marine consultancy services to hull and machinery and P&I insurers, shipowners, and attorneys. Her recent work includes supporting high-value technical P&I claims, assisting with joint laboratory witnessing in China and Singapore, and advising on disputes involving wire rope and flexible hose failures, off-specification fuel, and engine and propeller shaft failures.
Kim holds a first-class honors degree in chemical and materials engineering and is a Chartered Engineer.
