Melissa Tan

Melissa graduated with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and began her career in the semiconductor industry. She played a key role in advancing the world’s first 232-layer NAND SSD technology, where she developed strong expertise in data analysis and critical problem-solving.

Since transitioning into loss adjusting in 2024, Melissa has handled a diverse portfolio of claims in Asia, focusing on large and complex energy losses, including onshore energy, renewables and conventional power generation sectors. She has also handled construction, engineering and property losses as part of her loss adjusting career. Combining technical engineering expertise with loss adjusting experience, Melissa brings analytical and practical insight into every case she manages.

In May 2026, Melissa joined Sedgwick’s Global Specialty Energy platform in Singapore. In this role, she continues to handle onshore energy, renewables and power losses.
