Will O’Neill

Will is an accomplished marine consultant, surveyor, and Chartered Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry. His career spans senior technical, operational, and leadership roles, including Senior Surveyor with a major Classification Society and Director of Operations at one of the most important commercial drydocks on the West Coast of the Americas.
A Member of the IMarEST with a Master of Engineering degree, Will has extensive expertise across the full spectrum of marine survey work. His experience includes newbuild project management at a leading international new construction shipyard and survey experience on virtually every vessel type, including container ships, cruise ships, tankers, bulk carriers, off-shore vessels, tugs, and barges. This technical foundation is complemented by strong capabilities in project management, client relations, and knowledge of regulatory compliance.
Will’s combined technical acumen and operational leadership were instrumental in modernising and expanding the largest drydock on Canada’s West Coast. During his time, the facility achieved some of its most successful operational years, strengthened its infrastructure, and expanded its capacity. Respected by his peers and unionised workforce alike, Will combined practical marine expertise with strong financial and regulatory knowledge and an open and collaborative leadership style creating success.
