A 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit off the coast of Japan’s eastern Fukushima prefecture late Wednesday night.

The quake cut off power to more than 2.2 million homes in 14 prefectures, derailed a bullet train near Fukushima, and closed at least one major highway for safety checks. Buildings in Tokyo shook for more than two minutes and parts of building facades tumbled into streets below in some areas, according to initial reports.

The Japan Meteorological Agency lifted a tsunami warning on Thursday morning, but urged the public to watch out for more seismic activity in the next few days and to remain vigilant over the risk of mudslides.
