SYDNEY, 19 April 2023 – Sedgwick, a leading global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits and integrated business solutions, has promoted two key members of its forensic accounting leadership team in Australia, with Andrew Cardamis appointed partner and Jillian Pancott assuming the role of director of forensic accounting.

The promotions demonstrate Sedgwick’s strategic growth ambitions in Australia and continue to demonstrate the company’s continuing commitment to nurturing and developing its talented professionals.

Both Cardamis and Pancott bring over a decade of experience, providing expert financial analysis to clients to ensure claims are accurately quantified and resolved. With specialties in handling large and complex cyber and business interruption claims across a range of industry verticals, their experience is invaluable to the continued development of Sedgwick’s forensic accounting services in Australia.

Cardamis joined Sedgwick in 2018, bringing extensive expertise across risk management, insurance, and business recovery. As partner, he will leverage his specialist knowledge and reputation in the Australian market to strengthen Sedgwick’s capabilities in the region.

“Andrew’s promotion to partner of forensic accounting is a testament to his excellent performance,” said Emma Levett, partner and head of Sedgwick’s forensic accounting services in Australia. “He joined us when the Melbourne operation consisted of just two colleagues, and he has been a driving force in growing that team. Andrew brings a rigorous technical skillset, with particular specialisation in large loss property claims and cyber business interruption, as well as strong interpersonal leadership skills that he uses to nurture and upskill the team.”

Pancott has over 15 years of forensic accounting experience and specialises in business interruption and professional indemnity claims and catastrophe response, having played a leading role in quantifying economic losses and recovery relating to earthquakes, floods, and cyclones across Australia and New Zealand. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) in Ontario, Canada and Certified Management Accountant.

“Jillian’s elevation to director reflects her exceptional work since joining in 2015,” Levett said. “She is a wonderful ambassador for Sedgwick and embodies our values, with a strong commitment to mentoring and developing colleagues. Jillian’s expertise in property and liability is regularly sought across the business, and I look forward to seeing her thrive in her new role.”

Sedgwick’s forensic accounting team in Australia comprises over 40 accountants, who practice in seven offices throughout the country and offer extensive experience in a wide range of sectors, from construction and manufacturing to cyber and retail.
