Markus is a 1993 graduate of the University of Applied Sciences at Darmstadt (Germany) in electrical engineering specialising in power engineering with a PgD in Business Administration of the Foundation School of Business – Alvares Penteado- at Sao Paulo (Brazil).
He has over 20 years international experience as claims manager at a major German insurance company and as a loss adjuster, having previously worked for over 8 years for leading firms in the electrical engineering sector, 4 years of which were in Brazil.
During his industrial engagements Markus has dealt with project planning, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, repair and plant operation. He has expertise in electric equipment, plant automation, substations and power plants. His professional experience in the claims and adjusting field includes international EAR/CAR, machinery breakdown, liability and major property losses including BI. Markus joined Sedgwick in Germany in August 2007 and is presently heading the international desk in Germany.
