Max is regarded as one of America’s foremost experts on workers’ compensation and retail risk management. At Sedgwick, he is heavily involved in industry analysis and thought leadership, best practice and compliance standards, legislative and regulatory relationships, product development and innovation, and the design and servicing of client programs. He works diligently to ensure that Sedgwick’s solutions remain at the forefront of the industry while meeting the evolving needs of current and prospective clients. An attorney by trade, Max was previously an administrative law judge and an appellate court justice. He has been an active player in the claims industry throughout his long career.

Leah leads Sedgwick’s technology research and development efforts and works to advance and execute the company’s digital roadmap and transformation strategy. She is widely recognized as an expert in claims technology and for her fluency in outlining and explaining tech-forward solutions. In her previous role as Managing Director of Global Consumer Technology, she oversaw the design and development of Sedgwick’s award-winning, client-facing platforms. Most recently, Leah assembled a team dedicated to developing strategic and practical use cases for generative AI, and her expertise was instrumental in the launch of our industry-first ChatGPT tool, Sidekick. Prior to joining Sedgwick, Leah was cofounder and CIO of Absentys, a software company focused on technology products in the leave management and accommodation management space. Recognized in 2022 as a Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a Certificate of Specialization in Entrepreneurship Innovation from Harvard Business School Online.

Mike joined Sedgwick in January 2018 and currently oversees property America’s TPA operations and delegated authority. Starting his career in claims in 1988 as an adjuster trainee in Tampa, Florida, Mike has held increasingly responsible positions across the country, eventually becoming an officer at three major multiline P&C carriers. Mike graduated with distinction from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. He also holds CPCU and AIC designations from The Institutes.

Steve serves as the chief executive leader of EFI Global, our global forensic engineering, fire investigation, and environmental consulting company with operations in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States. He has nearly 30 years of management experience, including leading multi-disciplined engineering consulting companies, and has spent the last 14 years providing executive oversight for property and casualty insurance services businesses. Prior to his career in claims, Steve served in various progressively responsible positions in construction and commercial building services. Additionally, he has been a testifying expert in numerous courts and jurisdictions.
