Severe storms hit more than half a dozen states over the weekend, causing tornadoes, high winds, dust storms, wildfires and widespread power outages. The storm outbreak has left a path of destruction in its wake. As many as 19 tornadoes damaged homes and property in Missouri, 80 mph wind gusts flipped semi-trucks in Texas, a dust storm in Kansas caused a pileup of more than 50 cars, and fires that broke out in Oklahoma have burned more than 170,000 acres and destroyed 400 buildings. The storms are expected to head east today, triggering tornado warnings.
