Wagner Rodrigues

Wagner is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the maritime and offshore industries. His expertise includes engineering projects, vessel classification, technical inspections, claims management, and complex dispute resolution.
He began his career in shipbuilding, covering the full lifecycle of a vessel, from design to commissioning, including the conversion of oil tankers into FPSOs. He later joined a leading classification society, where he led projects involving corrosion analysis, tanker conversions, vessel certification, and life-extension programmes across a range of vessel types.

Wagner has extensive experience in maritime casualty investigations, salvage operations, wreck removal, and technical consultancy for disputes. He regularly provides expert support in litigation and arbitration involving shipbuilding contracts, mechanical failures, fuel consumption disputes, and subsea installation compliance.
He has acted as a marine expert for H&M insurers, P&I Clubs, and law firms. Notable assignments include the complex wreck removal of a sunken river convoy in the Amazon and a grounded ferry in Chilean Patagonia.
