Heavy rain, hail hit Calgary

Severe thunderstorms swept through Calgary Monday night, causing damage from large hail, heavy rain and strong wind gusts. Northern Calgary was hit the hardest, with reports of golf-ball-sized hail. Among the storm damage was one of the terminals at Calgary International Airport, which remained closed as of Tuesday morning, as well as widespread damage reported to homes and cars.
