Japan braces for Typhoon Shanshan

Meteorological agencies predict Typhoon Shanshan will make landfall in southern Japan today, bringing heavy rainfall and potentially damaging winds of up to 148km/h. The storm is expected to intensify as it approaches Kagoshima Prefecture on the southern tip of Kyushu.
