Record rainfall causes major flooding in Toronto

Three major storms brought torrential rainfall and flash flooding to Toronto on Tuesday, causing widespread power outages, submerging major roadways and stranding drivers. Canada’s largest city saw about 4 inches of rain, which is the most rain the city has seen in a single day and the equivalent to the average rainfall it receives in the month of July.
