As Kentucky continues to recover from severe flash flooding, another winter storm is on its way and expected to bring heavy snow. The first storm hit the eastern U.S. over the weekend, bringing up to 7 inches of rain in Kentucky, melting existing snowfall and causing rivers to overflow. Thousands of residents were without power over the weekend, and hundreds were displaced from their homes.

Another storm is expected to hit central and southern Kentucky this evening through tomorrow afternoon. The National Weather Service is predicting up to 6 inches of snow.
