The threat of flooding continues to rise along the Gulf Coast as ongoing storms bring excessive rainfall. Storms already brought flash flooding, damaging winds, hail and a tornado to the area from Texas to southwestern Mississippi yesterday. Today, more storms threaten southern Texas, most of Louisiana and parts of Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi along the Gulf Coast.
Other states are bracing for more storms and rainfall. The South (from Florida to the Carolinas) could see up to 8 inches of rain over the next few days according to AccuWeather, and more storms are headed to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states starting tomorrow.
