More than 130 million people could face severe weather on Wednesday as powerful storms develop across a broad corridor stretching from the Southern Plains through the Midwest and into the Ohio Valley.
Supercell thunderstorms are expected to form this afternoon, bringing large hail, heavy rain and a chance of tornadoes across multiple states.
This threat comes just hours after a round of destructive storms on Tuesday, which produced tornadoes and baseball-sized hail across the Midwest and damaging wind gusts from Texas to the Northeast.
Downed trees, snapped powerlines and already-saturated ground from Tuesday could make conditions more dangerous and increase the risk of flash flooding as additional storms move in today.
