Record-setting rainfall hit southeastern Wisconsin over the weekend, leading to life-threatening flash flooding in and around Milwaukee. From Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning, some areas reported receiving up to 14 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service. The heavy rain swamped roadways, stranded vehicles, knocked out power for thousands, damaged homes and businesses, and prompted water rescues. The Wisconsin State Fair canceled its last day on Sunday because of the severe weather.
