Continuous rain, strong winds and heavy mountain snow are causing widespread disruptions across Western Washington.
The region is already dealing with flooding from two levee breaks in King County earlier this week. Heavy rain overnight pushed several rivers to flood stage by early Wednesday morning, and more flooding is expected with additional rainfall forecasted later this week.
Powerful wind gusts as high as 112 mph were reported, downing trees and cutting power for hundreds of thousands of customers. Meanwhile, in the Cascade and Olympic Mountains, a blizzard warning remains in effect until 12 p.m. PT and could bring up to two feet of snow in some areas.
