Brian Acors

Mr. Acors background consists of educational/technical training and over 19 years of professional experience in the fire service and law enforcement disciplines. He has investigated over 400 fires both in the public and private sectors involving vehicles, residential, and commercial properties. These investigations include both civil and criminal cases. Mr. Acors has experience in several disciplines of the fire services to include suppression, investigations, law enforcement, code enforcement, technical rescue, and hazardous materials. He also has worked closely with federal and local authorities to deploy Joint Hazard Assessment Teams (JHAT’s) during large-scale events. He has served as a hazardous materials team leader and has extensive training in hazardous materials.

Mr. Acors has received training and is certified by the Virginia Department of Fire Programs as meeting the requirements of NFPA 1033 for Fire Investigations. He also holds certifications as a NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector and Hazardous Materials Specialist through the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. He is certified through the National Association of Fire Investigators as a Fire & Explosion Investigator and Vehicle Fire Investigator.
