Taking care of our colleagues, clients and communities is at the heart of everything we do at Sedgwick. This comes to life for us by helping people, restoring property, preserving brands and empowering performance. This also includes our commitment to creating a more sustainable and connected world for all of us. As I reflect on 2023, I’m proud to present our second annual ESG report and the incredible strides we made as we work toward our environmental, social and governance vision for 2030. I want to highlight a few key efforts that I think really stand out as we continue to make a meaningful impact.
We’re committed to promoting sustainable practices and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We decreased our energy consumption by reducing our office footprint by 30% over the last three years. In the UK, 70% of our fleet is electric or hybrid. We launched a carbon value calculator and new climate resiliency solutions to help our clients understand their carbon impacts and find lower-carbon-emitting solutions on claims.
OUR ESG VISION
We aspire to lead our industry in acting with purpose and social consciousness and to promote sustainable practices, so that our planet and all of us on it can thrive long into the future. At Sedgwick, taking care of people – colleagues, clients and communities – is at the heart of everything we do. That is why we will maximize our opportunities for collective impact by 2030.
I encourage you to read more about what we’re doing and the positive impact we’re making.
2023
FROM OUR CEO
We’re focused on our colleagues’ experience and their well-being, connection and growth. We received 19 recognitions from Newsweek, Forbes, Fortune and others that confirm our diverse and inclusive culture. We hosted our annual growth week, which included 25 live sessions and over 10,000 course views by colleagues all over the world. We partnered with 234 charities whose goals align with our corporate giving efforts around education, well-being, social services and sustainability.
We are committed to the highest standards of business ethics, data protection and security and customer privacy by consistently doing the right thing — and that won’t ever change.
Take care,
Committee
