James Long

James has 40 years loss adjusting experience. His career began with a national adjusting firm where he spent 27 years, most recently as Director of Major & Complex Loss. This role included responsibility for operational service delivery of all large losses, High Net Worth (HNW) claims and home/foreign business throughout the company. In 2012 James joined a small adjusting firm where he became Managing Director and successfully built the business to become the leading HNW adjusting firm in the UK. James has unrivalled experience of Private Client losses and over the years has handled claims for some of society’s most high-profile figures. These claims often involve the most historic and prestigious homes throughout the UK and further afield. James actually handled a large and complex water damage claim for the most valuable residential property in Europe. Private Client claims and the challenge of delivering the highest possible level of service to HNW customers remains James’ focus and passion. James joined Sedgwick Global Specialty in February 2026
