Colleague health and safety

Our top priority is taking care of people when they need it most, and that includes our colleagues’ health and safety.

Our current strategy is focused on understanding how to create the best environment for our colleagues. It takes the focus we have on our clients’ safety and turns it inward for our own colleagues. Through strategic safety training, we equip our colleagues with the knowledge and tools they need to ensure their own safety and prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. When an injury or illness does occur, we provide clear instructions to colleagues and people leaders on how to report the incident and how to access medical support as needed.

As a result of our safety efforts, in 2023, we reduced the number of recordable injuries and illnesses by 6% — which means, our incident rate is 51% lower than the average rate for our industry, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. In addition, our lost time incident rate (LTIR) decreased by 14%, reflecting a drop in the number of incidents that result in time away from work.
