Quality customised building consultancy services across a wide range of industries
Established for more than 20 years, our building consultancy team in the UK has a long track record of delivering across a wide range of claims. From large CAT events to individual claims for domestic, commercial, and high net worth clients, we have both the scale and local expertise to deliver across a wide portfolio of work.
The right people for every job.
We offer all the services you would expect of a surveying firm operating in the insurance market. We have the scale to react to surge events, and our specialists tailor our service to suit the needs of each claim. Most importantly, we understand the role our team plays in the whole claim, and we work with other key stakeholders to ensure the work is done at the appropriate cost at the right time.

Technical excellence and the customer experience
For a customer who is experiencing the trauma and disruption caused by a flooded or fire damaged property, technical excellence is important — but it’s not everything. In addition to our technical know-how, Sedgwick’s experts have highly developed empathy, communication and problem-solving skills. This combination allows us to balance the priorities of each party involved based on our in-depth knowledge of the building’s structure and the claims handling process. We provide reassurance, control and constant communication to all involved, so they have confidence in our strategy to restore their property quickly and effectively.
Ensuring clear, timely communication between all parties is a critical part of every project. Working as a team means we can provide the support needed to manage each loss effectively for our clients.
We have specific surveying customer case experts to help manage vulnerable customers and support them through the claim.
As consultants, we need to see things from all sides while recommending what we believe is the best approach to effectively manage the repairs. This requires our team’s insight and technical expertise in the decision-making process. For example, they may need to determine if incurring additional upfront costs will save money in the long run and help a customer return home quicker, or if a damaged commercial property can be reconfigured to maintain a basic level of operation while the repairs are completed. This is the level of engagement and experience that sets Sedgwick apart.
