Sedgwick, together with the rest of Australia, has watched with sadness the impact and loss from the floods of the past week. For some people along the east coast, this is the second flooding of their homes in recent memory.
We’re here to support you.
With over 65,000 claims received so far, we mobilised our local teams immediately to accept and respond to claims. With water receding, the first teams of loss adjusters and restorers have deployed to mitigate and assess damaged homes and businesses. We recognise that our client’s customers and members are anxious for reassurance. We have received a substantial number of claims to date, and we are addressing them in the most efficient manner possible, be it with on-the-ground adjusters, restoration teams or using our digital tools to expedite the process.
“Through working closely with local and industry stakeholders, we are able to understand the immediate needs to support the communities as this event unfolds in real time. With this knowledge we are able to refine our services specific to the event, and liaise with our international colleagues for the support we need.” — Clare Cordingley, Senior Manager, Major Event Response.
A number of our own colleagues have been personally and directly impacted by the floods both in NSW and QLD. Our collective resources, supported by colleagues from around the globe, are focused on assisting the victims — bringing all our skills and experience managing catastrophic events so that we can respond, listen, and ensure properties are made safe where appropriate while processing claims as quickly as possible.
As this event continues to unfold over the coming days, our team will not rest so that the families and individuals who have lost so much can begin their road to recovery. If you have questions or need assistance, our contact information is below.
